Road to Certification
To earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification, you’ll complete three parts:
Theory
Study the PADI Open Water Diver eLearning, which consists of five chapters, knowledge reviews, four quizzes, and a final exam. You can complete the theory before your holiday or with us at the dive centre.
Confined Water Training
Practice essential diving skills in shallow water under the guidance of our experienced PADI instructors. These sessions will help you build confidence and prepare for open water diving.
Open Water Dives
Complete four open water dives, reaching a maximum depth of 18 metres, where you’ll apply everything you’ve learned in real diving conditions.
Once you’ve successfully completed the course, you’ll receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification, valid for life. Your certification allows you to dive independently to a maximum depth of 18 metres anywhere in the world.

Medical
Participants should be in good general health to scuba dive. Certain medical conditions may require clearance from a diving physician. Before booking, please complete the standard PADI Medical Statement.
If you answer “Yes” to any question, you must provide a medical certificate from a doctor with diving and hyperbaric expertise. We recommend arranging this before travelling to Spain.
