The course
The Rescue Diver course combines knowledge development with practical rescue exercises and realistic scenarios. Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to recognize diver stress, prevent accidents, and respond calmly and effectively when emergencies occur.
Working with your instructor, you’ll practice a variety of rescue techniques both at the surface and underwater, building the confidence and skills needed to handle real-life situations while keeping yourself and others safe.

Requirements
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification)
- Minimum age: 15 years (12 years for Junior Rescue Diver)
- Valid CPR & First Aid certification completed within the last 24 months (Emergency First Response or equivalent)

Improve your confidence
Participants should be in good general health to scuba dive. Certain medical conditions may require clearance from a diving physician. Before booking, please complete the standard PADI Medical Statement.
If you answer “Yes” to any question, you must provide a medical certificate from a doctor with diving and hyperbaric expertise. We recommend arranging this before travelling to Spain.
